Dr. Andrea Grabovac, MD, FRCPC, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia. Her psychiatric practice focuses on acute inpatient psychiatry at Vancouver Hospital. Since 2005, she has been delivering mindfulness-based interventions in oncology, sexual medicine and psychiatric settings. Her academic interests include developing competencies for clinician training in mindfulness, as well as integration of underpinning Buddhist psychological frameworks into mindfulness-based clinical interventions. For the last 10 years, she has been co-teaching a monthly mindfulness consultation course focusing on integrating personal practice into clinical delivery of Mindfulness Based Interventions. She is an MBCT mentor at the UCSD Mindfulness-based Professional Training Institute, and provides both individual mentorship as well as teaching 5-day professional training retreats. She is a teacher trainer at the MiCBT Institute.
